He also studied abroad for a time at the Shanghai Institute of Law, where he focused mainly on Chinese trade law.

Mr. Bellinson obtained his Juris Doctor in 1993, and The Florida Bar admitted him to practice that same year. He is also admitted to practice before the Federal Bar of the United States as well as before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida. Outside his legal practice, he serves on the board of the Urban League of Miami, and he is the director of the Liberty City Charter School.
