David G. Hassan

A partner at the Mena Law Firm, David G. Hassan focuses his practice primarily on insurance coverage matters, and he has general civil litigation experience as well. His firm is based in Miami, Florida, the city where he was born and raised, and he represents clients throughout Miami-Dade County and other parts of the state. Admitted to practice before all Florida state courts since 2012, Mr. Hassan is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

In his insurance coverage practice, Mr. Hassan represents people and businesses whose claims have been delayed or denied in bad faith by their insurance companies, or who otherwise have not received as much compensation as they rightfully deserve. His experience in this regard has extended to a wide variety of policies, including damage caused by hurricanes, fire, theft, water damage, windstorms, motor vehicle accidents, pipe bursts and other catastrophic events. Mr. Hassan has been able to obtain millions of dollars in compensation for his clients, through both verdicts at the conclusion of trials as well as settlements that he has negotiated outside of the courtroom. This successful track record has led to a great deal of favorable recognition from his colleagues, including an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.

Fluent in Spanish as well as in English, Mr. Hassan attended the University of Florida, where he majored in criminology and was a member of the school’s rowing team before receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 2009. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army’s Reserve Officer Training Corps, and while he was in law school at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, he joined the Army’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps and worked on a variety of cases before obtaining his law degree in 2012.
