He received his BS, cum laude, in Biochemistry & Biophysics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Before practicing law, David worked as a laboratory research associate at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, researching novel genetic therapeutics, and in Dr. Susan Gilbert's Laboratry at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, working on cancer drug development.
