Attorney Dennis G. Kainen is a partner with the Weisberg/Kainen/Mark law firm in Miami, Florida. Serving a diverse range of clients throughout the state and across the country, Mr. Kainen focuses his practice on defending the rights and liberties of those dealing with complex tax controversy litigation as well as those who face accusations or are under investigation for white collar crimes and other serious federal offenses.

Through his practice, Mr. Kainen has provided invaluable counsel for matters involving tax audits and settlements, corporate and business tax issues, IRS collections, tax litigation and more. He also has extensive experience handling matters involving the Offshore and Domestic Voluntary Disclosure Program and with advising clients on the proper reporting of foreign financial accounts. Additionally, he has helped numerous clients find the favorable outcomes they seek with regards to their criminal charges involving tax evasion, money laundering, antitrust matters, foreign bribery, and mail, wire, health care and mortgage fraud.

A 1978 graduate of George Washington University, Mr. Kainen obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 1981. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th and 11th Circuits, the U.S. Tax Court, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Widely regarded as a leader in his field, Mr. Kainen has numerous publications to his credit, and he has conducted many lectures and seminars across his region and throughout the country on a variety of legal topics. He is also a former member of The Florida Bar Board and Grievance Committee and former director of the Miami Chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Inc.

Moreover, Mr. Kainen has served as president of the Federal Bar Association's South Florida Chapter as well as the Dade County Bar Association. He also served on the board of directors of the Florida Law Related Education Association, Inc., where he received the Attorney of the Year award in 1989-1990. Along with maintaining his successful legal practice, Mr. Kainen is heavily involved in his local community, serving on the board of several local, regional and national civic, charitable and professional organizations.
