Details
Dolly Hernandez focuses her practice exclusively on divorce and other family law matters. From the firm's offices in Miami, Florida, she provides representation to clients throughout Miami-Dade County and other parts of South Florida. Admitted to practice in Florida since 2002, Ms. Hernandez is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
A significant portion of Ms. Hernandez's client base is comprised of high-net-worth individuals whose marriages are coming to an end and who are dealing with divorce-related issues such as the division of complex assets and debts, time-share and parental responsibility, and spousal and child support. A forceful advocate on their behalf when litigation is necessary, her background in handling negotiations often allows her to help them come to an accord without having to undergo a protracted and divisive courtroom battle.
In addition to her divorce practice, Ms. Hernandez regularly prepares and reviews prenuptial and post-marital agreements, and she has extensive experience in cases arising under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. Her family law caseload has additionally encompassed paternity establishment and disputes, and she has assisted clients whose marriages have already been dissolved and who are now seeking the enforcement of or modifications to existing support and parenting orders.
Her successful track record has earned Ms. Hernandez a great deal of recognition from her colleagues, including an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 "Superb" peer-review rating through Avvo. In addition, she has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America list since 2019, Florida Trend's Legal Elite list, and South Florida Legal Guide's Top Lawyers list. Frequently asked to deliver presentations on family law topics, she is fluent in both English and Spanish and a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law.
