Mark Citrin

Mark Citrin is a seasoned attorney and founding principal of Mark Citrin, P.A., in Miami, Florida. Dedicating his practice to comprehensive immigration and naturalization law, he brings extensive knowledge and experience to asylum, deportation and removal defense, citizenship matters, and visas. After completing his undergraduate studies cum laude at the University of Miami, Mr. Citrin earned his Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1986. Admitted to The Florida Bar in 1987, he practices before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th and 11th Circuits, enabling him to deliver effective results for countless clients throughout his career.

Notably, Mr. Citrin achieved a key victory in Nesterenko v. Attorney General before the 11th Circuit. Representing a Russian asylum seeker whose claim was initially denied over alleged minor inconsistencies regarding past mistreatment, he successfully challenged the Board of Immigration Appeals' adverse credibility determination. The appeals court agreed that the record failed to support the ruling, vacating the removal order and reinforcing his ability to secure vital appellate relief.
