Natasha Perez serves as an attorney and managing shareholder at Sunrise Legal P.A. in Miami, Florida, where her dedication to continuous learning and compassionate client advocacy defines her practice. She views the privilege of practicing law as both an honor and an opportunity to empower others. She concentrates her work in estate planning and probate, elder law, and estate and trust litigation, guiding clients through complex legal landscapes with empathy and precision.
Following her graduation from Florida International University College of Law with a Juris Doctor, Ms. Perez began her legal career as a volunteer attorney in the Probate Division of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. She subsequently advanced to case manager and then supervisor within the same division. In these roles, she honed her competence by reviewing probate filings for compliance with local rules and state statutes, collaborating closely with the Director of Probate on court administration matters and ensuring the integrity of procedural processes.
While serving the community through the probate court, Ms. Perez pursued a Master of Laws in taxation at Boston University School of Law, concentrating on estate planning. Upon entering private practice, she applied her academic and courtroom experience to the administration of trusts and guardianships, as well as to litigation involving estates and elder abuse claims. Her portfolio includes representation of Cuban national beneficiaries in adherence to OFAC regulations, advocacy in elder-abuse litigation and support in probate appeals. She has also been honored to serve as a court-appointed ad litem, protecting the rights of unknown and unrepresented heirs.
An active participant in the legal community, Ms. Perez is a member of the Dade County Bar Association’s Probate and Guardianship Section and the Cuban American Bar Association. She communicates fluently in English, Spanish and Italian, earning a “Very Good” rating on Avvo. In recognition of her commitment to service and professional excellence, she received the Outstanding Service and Dedication Award from the Dade County Bar Association in 2018.
