Paula J. Phillips is the litigation chair and a shareholder of Phillips Perez, P.A., a Florida civil litigation and business law Firm. Her practice covers a broad spectrum of fields, including trucking law, aviation, franchise law, consumable goods, construction, first- and third-party insurance coverage and claims defense, premises liability, personal injury, complex commercial subrogation litigation and appeals.
Ms. Phillips obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and theatre dance from Cameron University. She received her Juris Doctor with a focus on civil litigation from the University of Miami School of Law. She has also obtained MA in Organizational Management as well as her SBA THRIVE Certification.
Soon after graduating as an attorney, Ms. Phillips entered the private litigation sector, working with several firms before establishing Phillips Perez, P.A. in 2017. She has been admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Florida, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th and 11th Circuits.
Committed to serving society, Ms. Phillips extends her pro bono services through the Florida Legal Aid Clinic in the areas of guardianship and family law. She has recently completed a three-year tenure on The Florida Bar Grievance Committee for the Eleventh Circuit. She is also active in the Miami-Dade Commission on Ethics and Public Trust – Ethical Governance Program, and volunteers with the Nova Middle School mock trial program as well as several other local charitable organizations. Ms. Phillips has was named a Florida Super Lawyer in 2024.
