Attorney Richard Bo Sharp is a founding member of Mallard & Sharp, P.A., in Miami, Florida. Mr. Sharp practices in the areas of personal injury and medical malpractice law, serving clients throughout the Miami area. He handles cases involving birth injuries, brain injuries, negligent security, nursing home neglect and wrongful death.
Over the course of his more than 20 years as a practicing lawyer, Mr. Sharp has recovered substantial sums in settlements and verdicts, including the largest medical malpractice verdict in Florida in 2017, the largest medical malpractice verdict ever collected in Miami-Dade County and the largest medical malpractice and largest federal tort claims verdict ever collected in Florida.
Mr. Sharp holds an AV Preeminent* rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available from the organization. He appears on Florida Trend magazine’s “legal elite” list and the National Trial Lawyers named him among the “top 100 trial lawyers” for civil plaintiff lawsuits. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and a member of the Florida Justice Association’s Soaring EAGLE program.
Mr. Sharp earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law. He holds a license to practice law before all Florida state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
In addition to managing his law practice, Mr. Sharp serves as a pro bono guardian ad litem and volunteers for Miami-Dade county’s Lawyers for Children program and Dade Legal Aid’s Put Something Back program.
