Robert A. Hingston

As an attorney at Welbaum Guernsey, LLP, Robert A. Hingston represents clients in Miami and Coral Gables, as well as those in Miami-Dade County and throughout South Florida. He focuses his practice on handling cases that involve alternative dispute resolution, surety, business and construction litigation.

In 1971, Mr. Hingston received a Bachelor of Arts from Ripon College. He went on to earn a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

When they go to court, legal matters often take a substantial amount of time and money to resolve. Keeping that in mind, Mr. Hingston is adept at helping clients find solutions through alternative methods, such as negotiation and mediation. He knows when to seek resolutions for problems outside the courtroom and when a trial is necessary.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Hingston has successfully handled all aspects of construction law and surety issues at the state and federal levels. From drafting contracts to appealing a court ruling, he boldly takes on even the most complex cases. A published author and frequent lecturer, Mr. Hingston is highly involved in the legal community. He is a member of the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial, and Insurance Practice and Litigation sections, The Florida Bar and the American Arbitration Association. Mr. Hingston is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11^th Circuit and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
