Attorney S. Patrick Dray is the founder and owner of S. Patrick Dray, P.A., law firm in Miami, Florida. Board-certified by The Florida Bar as a criminal trial attorney, Mr. Dray has more than 20 years of legal experience, and he provides unmatched representation to clients throughout Miami-Dade County and beyond who stand accused of or are under investigation for any type of felony or misdemeanor offense.

A former assistant state attorney, Mr. Dray has years of experience as a prosecutor, so he has invaluable insight into the criminal justice system that enables him to devise the most effective defense strategies possible for the accused. As a criminal defense attorney, he has successfully obtained favorable verdicts for his clients in challenging criminal cases, including federal criminal cases, and he has developed a niche in representing clients involved with self-defense and stand your ground cases.

Along with providing invaluable defense counsel at trial, Mr. Dray also assists with post-conviction relief matters such as motions to vacate convictions and removing criminal convictions for immigration purposes. No matter the issues his clients are facing or how serious the charges against them, Mr. Dray maintains an unwavering focus on protecting their rights and liberties, and helping them to efficiently and cost-effectively obtain the positive results they expect and deserve.

A 1989 honors graduate of the Royal Military College of Canada, Mr. Dray earned his Master of Arts in war studies from King's College at the University of London in 1990. He also completed training at the Canadian Forces Staff School, and he served as a Platoon Commander, United Nations Field Liaison Officer and Deputy Company Commander for the Canadian Military. Upon deciding to pursue his legal career, he attended the University of Miami School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor cum laude in 1999.

Mr. Dray is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. A leader in his legal community, he has served as chair of The Florida Bar's Professional Ethics Committee, and he is a member of the Florida and National Associations of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Dade County Bar Association and the Eugene P.
