Christyna M. Torrez

Christyna M. Torrez, is a Partner at Coleman, Taylor, Klaus, Doupé, Diaz, & Torrez, PA. She has represented countless businesses and individuals in a variety of matters including shareholder disputes, trust and estate litigation, employment litigation, real estate and property litigation, complex residential and commercial foreclosures, business torts, hospitality litigation, and general contract litigation. Christyna has significant experience in the courtroom in state court, Federal court, and appellate court, and also assists clients with negotiations to avoid and resolve litigation through settlement.

She is the incoming President of the Collier County Women’s Bar Association and serves as a director for the Collier County Bar Foundation. She served as President of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Collier County Bar Association from 2017 to 2018 and is a former board member and committee chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the Collier County Bar Association. In July 2020, Christyna became a member of the Leadership Collier Foundation’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. She is a 2012 graduate of Associate Leadership Collier and previously served on the scholarship fundraising committee for the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County. Christyna is a member of the Trial Lawyers and Business Law sections of the Florida Bar.

Christyna received her bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor in 2004. She received her law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2007, joined the firm that same year, and became a partner with the firm in 2017. During law school, she received the book award in Trial Practice, served as a teaching assistant for Trial Practice courses and worked as a summer associate at the firm for three summers. She is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Christyna was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and traveling.
