S. Patrick Dray

S. Patrick Dray is the founding partner of S. Patrick Dray, PA, in North Miami, Florida, where he focuses exclusively on criminal defense in both federal and Florida state courts. For more than two decades, he has built a reputation as a skilled and strategic advocate for individuals accused of serious crimes. His practice encompasses all aspects of criminal law, including pre-arrest investigations, trial defense, post-conviction relief, appeals, and motions to vacate sentences for immigration or other legal purposes. Mr. Dray earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law, where he demonstrated excellence in legal writing and trial advocacy. Before studying law, he completed a Master of Arts degree at King’s College, University of London and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Honors History from the Royal Military College of Canada. His diverse academic background, coupled with international experience, gives him a unique perspective on justice and leadership.

Mr. Dray was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1999 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 1st and 11th Circuits and the U.S. Supreme Court. He became board certified in Criminal Trial Law by The Florida Bar, a distinction held by only a small percentage of attorneys statewide.

Throughout his career, Mr. Dray has received numerous honors, including the First Place National Essay Award from the American College of Trial Lawyers and recognition in Who’s Who Among American Law Students. His military service has been acknowledged with the NATO Service Medal, the United Nations Peacekeeping Medal and the Wound Stripe.

Fluent in English, French and Spanish, Mr. Dray serves a diverse range of clients. He is an active member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, including its Miami Chapter.
