As the owner of Hilado Law, PLLC, Alfred Hilado is dedicated to helping the injured get the justice they deserve. Whether he is handling a workers' compensation claim, or a wrongfully denied Social Security Disability claim, he goes above and beyond to represent his clients in their cases. He works tirelessly to ensure that his clients in the Orlando metropolitan area and its surrounding counties in Central Florida receive the rightful compensation for the distress they have endured.
A board-certified specialist by The Florida Bar in workers' compensation law since 1998, Mr. Hilado has represented the rights of injured workers for almost three decades. Upon learning about the plight of injured workers, he developed a profound sense of compassion for their struggles. He understands the emotional impact of on-the-job accidents not only for the workers but also for their families.
Licensed to practice law in Florida since 1991, Mr. Hilado has also appeared before Florida's First District Court of Appeal and had a successful Supreme Court of Florida decision in favor of injured workers. He received his bachelor’s degree from Emory University in 1987. Further, his education continued at Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri where he graduated with a J.D. He placed third in the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition and finished as a finalist in the Environmental Law Moot Court Competition.
In his early years of practice, Mr. Hilado defended employers and insurance companies in workers' compensation claims throughout all of Florida. Having won cases before the Judges of Compensation Claims, the First District Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Florida, he has played a significant role in expanding and protecting benefits for injured workers in our State. He has been helping clients in need of Social Security Disability/Supplemental Security Income claims since 1994. In addition to his regular practice, he has represented children who have suffered trauma, abuse, neglect or abandonment as a guardian ad litem.
A former president of the Florida Workers’ Advocates, Mr. Hilado is a part of the Orange County Bar Association and has been a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (NOSSCR), and the Florida Bar.
Mr. Hilado has always taken it upon himself to be a figure of comfort and confidence for his clients. His compassionate and benevolent approach has earned him the acclaim of both his peers and clients. He is rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell and holds a perfect 10/10 rating on Avvo. Moreover, he was recognized among the Best Lawyers in Workers' Compensation Law by the U.S. News & World Report.
