Mr. Buist was a Dean’s List student every semester of law school, a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe, and he was research assistant to Professor Wadie Said. 

After law school, Mr. Buist clerked for two different federal judges over the course of 3 years. First, he clerked for the legendary trial judge, The Honorable Joseph F. Anderson, Jr. at the US District Court. Thereafter, he clerked for Chief Bankruptcy Judge, The Honorable David R. Duncan. Charles is licensed to practice law in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina, as well as in the District Court of South Carolina, the Eastern District of North Carolina, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
