Heather C. Kirson

Attorney Heather C. Kirson is founder and managing partner at The Elder Law Center of Kirson & Fuller in Orlando, Florida. Ms. Kirson is a Florida Bar Board Certified Attorney in Elder Law and a VA Accredited Attorney.  Ms. Kirson specializes in the practice on elder law; which includes Medicaid Asset Protection Planning throughout the State of Florida.  In Central Florida, Ms. Kirson focuses on the practice of Guardianship, Probate & Trust Administration, Estate Planning and Special Needs Trusts.  

Ms. Kirson has been licensed to practice law since 2007 and has more than 13 years of experience in elder law.  Prior to practicing elder law, Ms. Kirson was an associate geriatric care manager, with many years of helping elders and their families.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Kirson has been recognized for her accomplishments in the legal industry. In 2011, she was named a Florida “Legal Elite Up and Comer” by Florida Trend magazine and was honored for her pro bono service by the Florida Supreme Court in 2013.  In 2020, Ms. Kirson was recognized as Legal Elite in elder law, by Florida Trend.

Active in the various professional organizations, Ms. Kirson belongs to the Elder Law Section and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar. She previously served as the Co-Chair of the Medicaid Committee of the Florida Bar.  Currently Ms. Kirson is the President-Elect of the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys (AFELA).

Ms. Kirson is also active in the Orange County Bar Association and belongs to the Florida State Guardianship Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).  Ms. Kirson is a frequent speaker on elder law issues throughout the State of Florida.

Ms. Kirson holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Rollins College, Hamilton Holt.  She received her law degree from Florida A&M University College of Law.
