James O. Cunningham

The founder of his own firm based in Orlando, Florida, James O. Cunningham has been certified as a specialist in civil trial law by both The Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Focusing his practice exclusively on personal injury and wrongful death litigation, he provides representation to people throughout the central part of the state who have been harmed by the negligent acts or omissions of other parties. The types of cases that Mr. Cunningham has handled have arisen out of incidents involving truck and motor vehicle crashes, boating accidents, premises liability, hospital negligence and other forms of medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, defective products and construction site accidents.

During his career, Mr. Cunningham has been able to obtain more than $250 million in settlements and jury awards on behalf of his clients, making him a life member of the invitation-only Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. His fellow attorneys have taken note of his successes, and they have awarded him an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo. In addition, Mr. Cunningham has been named to The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 for several consecutive years.

A charter member of the Central Florida chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Mr. Cunningham is an active participant in other legal organizations as well, including the Florida Justice Association and the American Association for Justice. He holds a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Florida State University, a Master of Science in marketing from Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business, and a Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law. Admitted to practice in Florida, Mr. Cunningham is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Northern Districts of Florida and the Supreme Court of the United States.
