Melvin B. Wright

Attorney Melvin B. Wright is a partner at Colling Gilbert Wright in Orlando, Florida. Mr. Wright devotes his practice exclusively to wrongful death and personal injury law, serving injury victims and their families throughout the entire state of Florida. He has experience with matters involving motor vehicle accidents, nursing home and assisted living negligence, premises liability, products liability, trucking accidents, pharmacy negligence and more.

Mr. Wright has more than 35 years of experience litigating all types of personal injury matters. He began his career representing injury victims and the insurance industry before shifting his focus over to exclusively representing plaintiffs who have been seriously injured or lost a loved one due to an accident.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Wright has effectively tried cases at the state, federal and appellate levels. He is board certified as a civil trial specialist by the Florida Bar’s Board of Legal Specialization & Education and is board certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a Senior Specialist in Civil Trial Law.

In honor of his accomplishments, Mr. Wright is the recipient of recognition from groups including the American Board of Trial Advocates, the International Society of Barristers, Best Lawyers in America, the National Trial Lawyers Association, and Florida Trend magazine Legal Elite. He is a member of numerous professional organizations including the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, American Association for Justice, Southern Trial Lawyers Association and Florida Justice Association.

Mr. Wright earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences in 1981. He received his law degree from Walter F. George School of Law and became a licensed attorney in 1985. He holds active law licenses in Florida, Georgia and Tennessee, and he is admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and all state courts in Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.
