Michael T. Gibson leads Michael T. Gibson, P.A., a law firm recognized throughout Orlando for experienced car accident lawyers who fight for the injured.
Mr. Gibson was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. He is a proud graduate of Clearwater Central Catholic High School. Mr. Gibson moved to the Central Florida area to attend the University of Central Florida. Upon graduation from UCF, he attended law school at The Florida A&M University College of Law.
During law school, Mr. Gibson served on the Law Review and as the Head Teaching Assistant to the Academic Skills Program. He also served as a County Court Mediator and a Certified Legal intern for the Orange County Public Defender's Office, where he tried felony jury trials. Mr. Gibson graduated in the top 3% of his class.
Upon graduation, Mr. Gibson practiced with one of the largest personal injury firms in the Central Florida area. During that time, he has participated in over fifteen (15) jury trials, trying seven (7) cases to verdict himself. Included in these trials are verdicts of $4,000,000.00, $2,140,000.00, $325,000.00 and $180,000.00, respectfully. - $4 Million Jury Verdict (Nursing Home Negligence) An 87-year-old lady fell while in a nursing home for rehab. We proved that the nursing home did not respond to her calls for assistance, and as a result our client fell and broke her hip. The case resulted in a $4,000,000.00 jury verdict. Mr. Gibson tried this case only days after being admitted to the Florida Bar.
- $1.27 Million Settlement (Motorcycle Accident - Catastrophic Injuries) Our client, a retiree, was catastrophically injured in a motorcycle crash. He suffered fractured ribs, a fractured lumbar spine, a brain contusion, a broken arm, and contusions to his left arm. These were significant injuries that meant a long road to recovery, and he was understandably stressed about what that recovery would look like. We moved quickly. Knowing he needed his medical bills handled and his future care protected, we pressed the insurance company to resolve the claim without delay. We gathered his medical records and bills, presented them to the insurer, and negotiated a prompt settlement. We recovered $1,270,000 for our client. The recovery paid his medical bills, eased his financial stress, and secured funds for his future medical care, letting him focus on healing rather than fighting an insurer. He finished the case relieved and able to move forward.
- $1.12 Million Jury Verdict: (Premises Liability) On behalf of an injured client who fell at an unsafe construction site. The client sustained a fractured vertebra in his neck. The defendants never took any responsibility for their actions, and thus the case proceeded to trial.

- Trucking Accident Recovery: $1.48 Million (Wrongful Death and Catastrophic Injury - Dump Truck I-275) Recovery for the death of one client and for catastrophic injuries suffered by another. The accident happened on Interstate 275 in Tampa when a dump truck locked its brakes and went across traffic, striking our clients head-on. The case involved multiple defendants involved in the hauling of dirt. The firm investigated and made recoveries against all companies involved in the hauling project.
