She worked as a paralegal during this time and later, decided to study law, enrolling at the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University – College of Law.
During law school, Ms. Brice joined the Colling Gilbert Wright & Carter law firm as an intern and went on to become an attorney at the same firm. After earning her law degree in 2009, she was admitted to practice law in all the state courts of Florida the following year. She is also licensed before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and the United States Courts of Federal Claims, in Washington D.C.
