Charlie Douglas, the managing partner of the Douglas Law Firm with multiple offices in Florida, primarily operates out of the Palatka office, in Florida, serving clients across Putnam, St. Johns, Ocala, Duval County, Jacksonville Metro and Saint Augustine. Mr. Douglas hails from Palatka, Florida, and he has an impressive educational background. Graduating as the valedictorian of his high school class, he pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida Warrington College of Business. During his time there, he not only graduated summa cum laude with a degree in business administration but also served as a Student Government Cabinet Director.
Subsequently, Mr. Douglas pursued his legal education at the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law, where he achieved remarkable academic success. He served as the editor-in-chief of the Florida Law Review and was inducted as a member of the Order of the Coif and Florida Blue Key.
In 2007, Mr. Douglas gained national recognition for his tireless efforts to secure the release of Tyrone Brown, a Texas man who had been sentenced to life in prison for a probation violation related to marijuana use. Mr. Douglas's extensive grassroots advocacy campaign led to Mr. Brown's freedom.
Furthermore, Mr. Douglas has been an advocate against the tobacco industry and was honored by the Lawton Chiles Foundation as Florida's Youth Advocate of the Year. As a result, the American Legacy Foundation sought his expertise as a national spokesperson to expose the truth about tobacco company tactics.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Douglas actively contributes to his community as a volunteer for organizations such as the Putnam First Cancer Fund, The Arc, the Kiwanis Club of the Azalea City and the Boy Scouts of America. His commitment to both his clients and the community showcases his dedication to making a positive impact in various spheres of life.
