After completing her Bachelor’s degree in English, at the University of South Florida in 1991, Ms. Joseph attended Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law to further build on her judicial acumen, in 1991. Before graduation, she took top honors - first place in the Martin H. Feinreider Moot Court Competition. Ms. Joseph received her Juris Doctor in May 1994, graduating in the Top 15% of her class, and was licensed to practice law in Florida, that same year, in October 1994.  During law school, Ms. Joseph clerked for board certified marital and family law attorneys.   Within two years of becoming licensed, she was also admitted to the US Southern District & US Middle District of Florida, Federal Bars.   In 1997, she attended training at the Office of State Courts Certified Guardian Ad Litem Training Program, and has served as a Supreme Court-Certified, Court-Appointed Family Court Guardian Ad Litem, since that time. In terms of her Guardian work, she is well-known for her work with children on the autism spectrum, and is often appointed in such cases, having raised a child with autism, herself.  In 2004, Ms. Joseph was trained, and became a Qualified Parent Coordinator.

Ms. Joseph is active in the legal community, holding memberships in the Broward County Bar Association, the Florida Bar’s Solo and Small Firm Group, and the Florida Bar's Marital & Family Law Group.  Ms.. Joseph  is a member of the American Bar Association, the National Association of Professional Women and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. She also serves on the Nomenclature Committee of the Family Law Section at The Florida Bar. Deeply committed to community service, she volunteers with Broward Lawyers Care of the Legal Aid Society, providing pro bono legal services when she is able, to low-income clients, and/or serves as a pro bono guardian ad litem.
