Alan Perez

Alan L. Perez is a skilled litigator and a partner at Mallard Perez PLLC based in Sarasota, Florida. He has over 16 years of experience assisting the residents of Florida in a wide range of personal injury matters involving medical malpractice, motorcycle and boat accidents, nursing home abuse, premises liability, construction accidents, and car and truck collisions. He has also efficiently handled other general civil litigation matters.

Majoring in criminal justice, Mr. Perez completed his bachelor’s degree in 2005 at St. Mary's University, where he was the President’s Ambassador and a part of the Student Government Association and Phi Alpha Delta. Later in 2008, he obtained his legal education from the University of Dayton School of Law. During law school, he was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for study in his insurance law class. 

Fluent in Spanish, Mr. Perez graciously volunteered as a VITA participant, offering his assistance to individuals in need of Spanish-speaking tax preparation services. He aided in the completion and submission of income tax return documents, exemplifying an altruistic and helpful nature. He was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2008 and later before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.

Mr. Perez's professional achievements are marked by his active involvement in various local and state-wide bar organizations. He is an Eagle member of the Florida Justice Association and the elected chair of its Solo/Small Firm Section. He is also a part of the Sarasota County Bar Association and the Judge John M. Scheb American Inn of Court. He previously held a position on the Twelfth Judicial Circuit's Grievance Committee "A."  This esteemed committee is responsible for investigating complaints against members of The Florida Bar, a critical duty within the legal community.
