Deborah J. Blue

A law school graduate of Stetson University, attorney Deborah J. Blue was admitted to practice in 1985 and began her career as an assistant State Attorney in the 12th Judicial Circuit. Today she is an AV* preeminent attorney and shareholder of the firm Dickinson & Gibbons, P.A., in Sarasota, Florida.

Ms. Blue received her board certification in marital and family law by the Florida Bar and was the first female board certified criminal trial attorney in the 12th Judicial Circuit (1993). She remained board certified in criminal trial law until 2008 when she began focusing her practice on the areas of marital, family and personal injury law.

Ms. Blue has been certified by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Family Mediator since August 2016.

Ms. Blue assists clients in a wide range of matters, including dissolution of marriage, custody, paternity, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, support modification and enforcement actions.
