Kelly Roberts is a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent® rated bankruptcy and business attorney and the founder of Roberts Law, PLLC. She advises business owners and stakeholders throughout their companies' lifecycles, combining transactional, operational, and restructuring experience.
Her business and corporate practice includes serving as fractional general counsel, advising on entity selection and formation, and preparing and negotiating governance documents and agreements. Kelly regularly handles asset and equity purchase and sale transactions from letter of intent through closing, drafts and negotiates employment and executive compensation agreements, and represents both landlords and tenants in commercial lease negotiations.
In her bankruptcy practice, Kelly represents creditors, guarantors, and principals of debtor entities, as well as other interested parties, in consumer and business bankruptcy matters across the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida. Her work often intersects with complex business disputes, workouts, and strategic recovery efforts.
Kelly is actively engaged in the legal community at the local, state, and national levels. She is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Sarasota County Bar Association, and the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association, and is a Barrister Member of the Judge John M. Scheb American Inn of Court. She currently serves as Chair of the Corporations, Securities & Financial Services Committee of the Florida Bar’s Business Law Section.
Outside of her practice, Kelly enjoys golfing, skiing, and spending time with her family.
