With almost 17 years of experience, Philip J. Schipani is a founding attorney at Schipani Law Group. Philip J. Schipani handles all issues related to family law for those in Sarasota County, Manatee County and Charlotte County in Florida. He has a passion for helping others as evidenced by his past work with Miami-Dade County Legal Aid Society, where he obtained injunctions for domestic violence and litigated cases of divorce, and his work as a business partner for the Myakka City Elementary School.

His areas of practice extend to all matters of family law, including domestic violence, equitable distribution, high-end divorces, stepparent adoption, divorce, custody and visitation, child support and adoption. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1998 in political science from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, he went on to earn a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, graduating cum laude and with honors, including the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for obtaining the highest grade in Legal Ethics in his class. Currently Mr. Schipani serves on the executive council of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, the legislative committee of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar and is co-chair for the Domestic Violence and Rules and Forms Committee for the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar.

As a current member of the Manatee County Bar Association, the Sarasota County Bar Association, Business Network International, and the Family Rules and Forms Committee and Family Domestic Violence Committee of The Florida Bar, Mr. Schipani is committed to developing professional relationships to better serve his clients. He is admitted to practice in Florida and before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Mr. Schipani is also a justice teacher for Myakka City Elementary School, educating students from various schools about the Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution.
