Andrew F. Ford

Andrew F. Ford is a partner in the St. Petersburg, Florida, office of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, where he brings more than a decade of experience to the firm’s corporate, tax and transactional, real estate, and construction and development practices. Renowned for his pragmatic, business-minded approach, he regularly serves as lead counsel in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions – guiding owners, operators, developers and private investment firms through every stage of acquisitions, dispositions, ground-up development, leasing and financing.

Beyond transactional work, Mr. Ford acts as outside general counsel to closely held companies, counseling founders and shareholders on entity formation, drafting and negotiating organizational documents, and crafting shareholder agreements that protect client interests and foster growth. His clients value not only his technical expertise but also the clarity and foresight he brings to complex negotiations and deal structures.

Mr. Ford launched his legal career in 2013 in the real estate practice group of a prominent international law firm based in Atlanta, where he represented a leading multinational telecommunications company in large-scale property negotiations and portfolio management. He earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School and was admitted to practice in Georgia in 2013 and Florida in 2014. Prior to law school, he received his B.A. from Columbia University in 2008.

An active contributor to the real estate community, Mr. Ford holds memberships in The Society of Real Estate Professionals, NAIOP Tampa Bay and the Real Estate Investment Council of Tampa Bay.
