After completing her bachelor's degree in philosophy from Florida State University in 1996, Ms. Roane pursued her legal education at the University of Miami School of Law and earned her J.D. magna cum laude (1998). While at law school, she was part of the University of Miami Law Review and a member of The Order of the Coif. Additionally, she gained invaluable practical insights as a law clerk under the guidance of Honorable Judge David M. Gersten at the Florida Third District Court of Appeal.
In 1998, Ms. Roane relocated to Washington, D.C., and performed a stint as a summer associate within the litigation division of a globally renowned law firm. During her time there, she finished her third year of law school at the Georgetown University Law Center in 1999. Upon successfully obtaining her J.D., she worked as a judicial law clerk for Honorable Administrative Law Judge Richard T. Stansell-Gamm at the United States Department of Labor.
Ms. Roane spent her initial 15 years as a defense litigator in Tallahassee. Before becoming part of the Fasig Brooks Law Offices in 2016, she was a shareholder in a well-known firm. She is rated “Superb” on Avvo and hosts many positive client testimonials on the site.
In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Roane maintains affiliations with several legal associations. She previously served on the board of directors for the Florida Defense Lawyers Association and is an active member of the Tallahassee Bar Association and The Florida Bar. Beyond her legal commitments, she energetically contributes to community enhancement, presently acting as the director of SouthWood Gives Back and serving as a member of the board of directors for the Tallahassee-Leon County Shelter. She coaches the boys’ soccer team for the Warner Soccer League and plays co-ed soccer with the Tallahassee Soccer Association and Warner ASG.
