Christin F. Gonzalez is a member of Novey+Gonzalez, LLC. She focuses her practice exclusively on family law matters, and she has been certified as a specialist in marital and family law by the Board of Legal Specialization and Education of The Florida Bar. Admitted to practice before all Florida state courts since 2011, Ms. Gonzalez represents clients throughout Northern Florida, including the Panhandle, from the firm’s offices in Tallahassee.

Many of Ms. Gonzalez’s clients are area residents who are seeing their marriages coming to an end. Whether they are already in the divorce process or are contemplating filing, she advises them on the related legal issues of custody and visitation, the division of marital property, and child and spousal support. Ms. Gonzalez has been trained and certified in both mediation and collaborative law, and thus she is often able to help people come to an accord on these matters through the use of those alternative dispute resolution methods. However, when that is not possible and settlement negotiations have broken down, she forcefully advocates on their behalf in family court.

Apart from her divorce practice, Ms. Gonzalez has extensive experience in a variety of other family law matters as well. She has prepared and reviewed numerous prenuptial and post-marital agreements, and she has handled adoptions involving relatives to the adoptee. In addition, Ms. Gonzalez has assisted clients who have already gotten a divorce and who are now seeking to have existing parenting or support orders enforced or modified, and she has worked on paternity disputes and establishment. She is a graduate of the Florida State University College of Law, where she served on the Florida State University Law Review before receiving her Juris Doctor in 2011.
