Ms. Novey graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the Florida State University in 1991. She subsequently decided to pursue a Juris Doctor at Florida State University College of Law, from which she graduated with honors in 1999. Ms. Novey is admitted to practice law before the state courts of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

Following law school, Ms. Novey worked in the area of corporate finance and regulatory transactions until she joined Novey+Gonzalez, LLC, in 2007. Since that time, she has used the knowledge she gained to assist her clients in handling complex family law issues involving property division, child custody, and spousal and child support. Ms. Novey is board-certified in marital and family law through The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization & Education and is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
