C. Steven Yerrid, recognized as a top trial lawyer in Tampa, Florida, has been a formidable presence in the courtroom for over 45 years. Graduating in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University, Mr. Yerrid secured his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1975. In 2010, he was appointed by the Governor as Special Counsel in response to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, dedicating nearly a year to serving the people of Florida pro bono. His efforts culminated in a landmark $27.5 million settlement for the city of Tampa against British Petroleum, marking the largest recovery paid to any municipality by BP for the disaster.

Mr. Yerrid's commitment to the legal community is further evidenced by his role as Special Counsel to the Office of the Chief Judge (13th Judicial Circuit) and the Florida Conference of Circuit Judges, where he successfully defended the confidentiality of judicial records before the Florida Supreme Court. His excellence in trial advocacy has earned him membership in the prestigious Inner Circle of Advocates and numerous awards, including the Perry Nichols Award and the Excalibur Award from the Florida Justice Association. In 2016, he was inducted into the National Trial Lawyers Hall of Fame, underscoring his enduring impact on the field of law.
