As a partner in the Tampa, Florida, real property firm Bricklemyer Law Group, PL, K. Clayton Bricklemyer practices real estate and land use law for clients throughout the state. He represents a broad base of clients that includes landowners, builders, developers and businesses in matters pertaining to real estate development, such as property zoning, purchases, entitlement and sales.
Mr. Bricklemyer received his bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University in 2000 before attending the University of Florida Levin College of Law, from which he received his Juris Doctor with honors in 2004. While pursuing his law degree, he received the Trial Practice Book Award for his scholastic excellence in that course. Currently a member of both the Environmental and Land Use Law and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law sections of The Florida Bar, he also maintains memberships with the American Bar Association and the Hillsborough County Bar Association.
Along with his practice and involvement in professional legal organizations, Mr. Bricklemyer has an extensive record of engaging with his community through several local nonprofit organizations. In addition to being a 2010 Tampa Connection graduate, indicating that he completed a rigorous 10-month program assisting nonprofits with business planning projects, he graduated from Leadership Tampa's nine-month program, to which members are selected based on their record of volunteerism and community involvement, in 2013. Mr. Bricklemyer volunteers his time to Palma Ceia Little League as well as St. John's Episcopal Church. He is on the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Chapter of NAIOP and is active in many other real estate trade organizations.
