Dale M. Swope

A managing partner of the law firm Swope, Rodante P.A., Dale M. Swope advocates for the underdogs primarily in the area of personal injury law. The firm in its present form evolved out of his solo practice started in 1979. He represents victims who have incurred injuries or lost loved ones due to personal injury and professional malpractice, primarily from the regions of Tampa, Riverview and Brandon, in Florida. He has also been board-certified as a civil trial specialist and has previously held a board certification as a business litigation specialist.

Receiving a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of South Florida in 1975, Mr. Swope graduated with his J.D. from the University of Florida – Levin College of Law in 1978. He was licensed to practice in the same year and just six months after, he commenced his solo practice in the competitive arena of personal injury in Florida.

Mr. Swope is peer-review rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell and has a “Superb” rating on Avvo. He has received several honors for his legal acumen and merits in his profession, including several from the Florida Justice Association – the EAGLE Centurion Award, the Churchill Award, the Rough Rider and Teddy Roosevelt Award, the S. Victor Tipton Award, the Mickey Smiley Award and the Bronze, Silver and Crystal EAGLE Awards. In addition, he was also the recipient of the Champion of Justice Award by the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association, among inclusions to numerous other top attorney lists.

With the experience garnered from over four decades of legal practice, Mr. Swope brings a valuable trove of skills and insights to the firm that has greatly benefitted the clients and significantly contributed to boosting the reputation of the firm over the years. He is a member of the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association, the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Federal Bar Association and the American Law Institute. Furthermore, he extends his services to his community for the upliftment of the indigent by supporting the initiatives of various organizations.
