David Knox

David Knox is a criminal defense attorney and managing partner at the law firm of Knox Leib, PLLC. He has dedicated his practice to pursuing the rights and best interests of those accused of criminal charges in Tampa, Florida. His practice areas include assault, battery, child abuse, sex offenses, weapon charges, felonies, drug offenses, traffic charges, murder and other violent crimes.

An erstwhile prosecutor, Mr. Knox has tried hundreds of cases before judges and juries in both state and federal courts. This background knowledge has enabled him to devise effective defense strategies for the accused. Prior to partnering with Knox Leib, PLLC, he served as an insurance agent and worked for large companies such as W. W. Grainger, Inc., Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company and Comcast Corporation. 

Admitted to practice in Florida since 2011, Mr. Knox is also qualified to practice before the state courts of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He holds membership in the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. 

Mr. Knox understands that negotiating cases with the prosecution is beneficial for many reasons. But he realizes that it is not always possible and does not hesitate to push the case through every step of litigation. Unafraid of trials, he extends his experience to cases involving probation violation, business litigation, economic crimes, injunctions and so on.
