Based in Tampa, Florida, Ellen E. Ware is the founder of The Ware Law Group. Focusing her practice exclusively on family law, she has been certified as a specialist in marital and family law by the Board of Legal Specialization and Education of The Florida Bar since 1984. Ms. Ware assists clients throughout the state who are facing the end of their marriages and thus having to deal with such divorce-related issues as spousal and child support, the division of complex marital assets, and child custody and visitation. Her experience in this regard encompasses several different forums, including litigation, negotiations, mediation and collaborative divorce. Ms. Ware also seeks modifications to and the enforcement of existing divorce orders, and her other family law experience includes paternity disputes.
Ms. Ware is an active participant in several professional organizations. A former co-chair of the Collaborative Law Section of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, she is also a member of that association's Marital & Family Law Section. Ms. Ware is also a member of The Florida Bar's Family Law, Appellate Practice and Alternative Dispute Resolution sections, and she has been a co-chair of the Tampa Bay Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Highly respected by her fellow attorneys, she has received an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.
Majoring in economics, Ms. Ware attended Vassar College as an undergraduate and received a Bachelor of Arts with general and special honors in 1981. Her legal education was obtained at Cornell Law School, where she was a senior editor of the Cornell Law Review before being awarded her Juris Doctor in 1984. Admitted to practice before all Florida and Massachusetts state courts, Ms. Ware opened her own firm in 1987.
