A talented and knowledgeable attorney, Mr. George F. Gramling, III, has over 35 years of legal experience. The principal attorney and owner of the law firm of Gramling Environmental Law, P.A., he serves clients throughout Tampa, Florida. His practice areas include:

Mr. Gramling majored in English and philosophy and obtained his B.A. in 1980 from Emory University. He earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He is admitted to practice in Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Supreme Court of United States.

Involvement with the legal community is important to Mr. Gramling. He served as the chairman of The Florida Bar’s Environmental and Land Use Law Section and the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Environmental Law Section. He was among the City of Tampa’s Flood Control Board and a member of the Florida Brownfields Association. He was a former vice chair of the American Bar Association’s Ethics Committee of the Environment, Energy, and Resources section.

A published author of many scholarly articles, Mr. Gramling has contributed to the Florida Environmental and Land Use Law Treatise and the Harvard Environmental Law Review. He frequently lectures and presents on topics related to environmental law.

A Florida Supreme Court certified circuit mediator, Mr. Gramling is well-known for his work in many contested and high-profile cases. Over the course of his career, he has built constructive associations with the governmental agencies in Florida, and he uses this to his clients’ advantage.
