Details
Jean Sutton Martin is an experienced personal injury attorney at Morgan & Morgan. She has dedicated the past 20-plus years to handling personal injury cases across a wide spectrum. She primarily tackles class action and mass tort cases, representing plaintiffs in Tampa, Florida. She also handles personal injury cases involving defective products.
Ms. Martin completed her Bachelor of Science in mathematical economics at Wake Forest University. She then graduated with a master's degree in international business from the University of South Carolina. Following this, she returned to Wake Forest University to complete her J.D. She has been licensed to practice in Florida and North Carolina since 1998. Some of her additional admissions include the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina.
The impressive career path trekked by Ms. Martin did not begin in law. Instead, she worked extensively for big corporations in the tech, finance and marketing fields. One position she is exceptionally proud of is working on the finance team for a company in Munich, Germany, where she oversaw its rapid expansion into Eastern Europe.
Ms. Martin's hands-on experience with big corporations provided her with unique insights into how these corporations work, so she can leverage that information to win cases for her clients. Her reputation attracted the attention of other colleagues who elected her a top North Carolina litigation attorney in the Business North Carolina Magazine's Legal Elite.
Outside of work, Ms. Martin remains committed to personal and professional development. She is a member of the American Association for Justice.
