Jeffrey P. Lieser

Jeffrey P. Lieser is an experienced Tampa business litigation attorney and real estate litigation lawyer who represents businesses, commercial property owners, investors, and other clients throughout the Tampa Bay area and Florida. As a co-founder of Lieser Skaff, a Tampa commercial litigation law firm, Jeff concentrates his practice on business, commercial, real estate, and construction litigation, representing businesses, commercial property owners, and other clients in complex litigation and transactional matters throughout Florida. He also represents clients in business torts, shareholder and partnership disputes, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, and other sophisticated civil litigation matters at the trial and appellate levels.

With two decades of legal experience, Jeff provides strategic representation to Tampa businesses and commercial property owners facing complicated legal disputes. Jeff also serves as class action counsel and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. His mediation practice draws upon his extensive experience handling complex commercial disputes, allowing him to assist parties in resolving contested legal matters outside the courtroom. Beyond his civilian legal practice, Jeff is a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps. He currently serves as Brigade Judge Advocate for the Army Reserve's Interrogation Group. During his military career, Jeff deployed to Iraq with the First Heavy Brigade Combat Team, First Infantry Division, where he served as the Brigade's Legal Representative in Iraqi courts and prosecuted cases involving attacks against American forces. His military service has earned several commendations, including the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.

Jeff is also active in professional and community leadership, serving on a Florida Bar Grievance Committee, which investigates allegations of attorney misconduct and evaluates potential violations of professional conduct rules. In 2023, Tampa Mayor Jane Castor appointed him to the City of Tampa Civil Service Board.

Jeff earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2006 and received bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice and political science from George Washington University in 2001. Before co-founding Lieser Skaff, he practiced at a statewide law firm, representing Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, and insurance companies in state and federal litigation.
