John F. Lauro

John F. Lauro is a former federal prosecutor and an accomplished trial lawyer who has more than 25 years of experience with complex criminal cases and commercial disputes. He is also the founder of the Lauro Law Firm, a nationwide criminal defense and civil litigation law firm with offices in Tampa, Florida, and New York City. Over the course of his career, Mr. Lauro has handled a broad array of complex commercial and criminal matters, including cases involving securities fraud, computer crimes, contract disputes, health care fraud, tax fraud, money laundering and antitrust violations.

Mr. Lauro's high-profile successes have included a Rule 29 acquittal in a criminal case on behalf of the former president of Medical Manager (now WebMD), a very favorable result for a former NBA referee who had been accused of violating the federal wire fraud statute in connection with gambling activities and a dismissal of all civil claims against a Middle Eastern banking institution in connection with the Sept. 11 litigation pending in New York.
