Joshua Coldiron, a senior managing attorney at Gramling Environmental Law, P.A., in Tampa, Florida, dedicates his practice to navigating the intricate world of environmental and land use regulation across federal, state, and local levels. His legal journey encompasses a wide array of issues, from compliance and pollution challenges to complex regulatory dispute resolution.
Mr. Coldiron delves into Superfund proceedings, electric utility regulation, legislative and lobbying representation, corporate due diligence and skillfully negotiates with environmental agencies. He also engages in selective litigation within federal and state courts, as well as before administrative bodies.
A proud alumnus of Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, Mr. Coldiron graduated in 2008 with a B.A. in environmental studies. He earned his J.D. in 2012 from Nova Southeastern University – Shepard Broad College of Law in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Licensed to practice law in Florida in 2013, he was also admitted to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
During his law school years, Mr. Coldiron was a dynamic leader, serving as the president of the Environmental and Land Use Law Society for three years and graduating from the Environmental and Land Use Law Practice Clinic. Before becoming a part of Gramling Environmental Law, P.A., he refined his abilities while working as a law clerk at a firm in West Palm Beach, Florida, that focused on environmental and land use legal matters. Today, he represents clients from both the private and public sectors.
A respected figure in the legal community, Mr. Coldiron is an active participant in The Florida Bar, the Hillsborough County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. In 2022-23, he took the helm of the executive council for The Florida Bar's Environmental & Land Use Law Section. His outstanding leadership was celebrated with the prestigious Stephens/Register Award, bestowed by the Environmental and Land Use Law Section of The Florida Bar in 2019. Additionally, he was part of the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s 2018-2019 Leadership Institute Class, reflecting his commitment to professional growth and community engagement.
