Mark P. Rankin

Over the past 15 years, Mark P. Rankin has continued to fight for his clients as a private practitioner throughout Florida and beyond. He is a federal criminal lawyer and president of The Law Office of Mark Rankin, P.A., in Tampa, Florida. His practice primarily focuses on criminal defense, encompassing a wide range of areas such as firearms, narcotics, child pornography, violent crimes, DUI and similar charges. He also works with:

A former assistant federal public defender, Mr. Rankin has gained valuable trial and appellate experience while representing a diverse range of federal criminal defendants. He has been recognized for his dedication and vast legal acumen, receiving the ABA's Litigation Section Outstanding Service Award and being named one of the Best Lawyers in America for white collar and nonwhite collar criminal defense. His reputation is further solidified by his inclusion in Florida Trend's Legal Elite. Furthermore, in 2019, he was honored with the Marcelino "Bubba" Huerta III Award for professionalism and pro bono service.

Mr. Rankin obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1999, following his magna cum laude graduation from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice in 1996.

An active participant in various professional and civic activities, Mr. Rankin serves on The Florida Bar -Federal Court Practice Committee and the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the Middle District of Florida. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Furthermore, he lectures at the White Collar Criminal Defense College at Stetson University College of Law and serves on the advisory board for Best Buddies Tampa Bay and The Champion magazine.
