Mr. Rankin obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1999, following his magna cum laude graduation from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice in 1996.
An active participant in various professional and civic activities, Mr. Rankin serves on The Florida Bar -Federal Court Practice Committee and the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the Middle District of Florida. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Furthermore, he lectures at the White Collar Criminal Defense College at Stetson University College of Law and serves on the advisory board for Best Buddies Tampa Bay and The Champion magazine.
