Richard W. Osborne

The founder and principal attorney at his eponymous law firm, Richard W. Osborne is a board-certified specialist in workers’ compensation law by The Florida Bar’s Board of Legal Specialization & Education. Admitted to practice in Florida in 1981, he focuses his practice on personal injury, Social Security Disability and workers’ compensation. 

Basing his practice in Tampa, Florida, Mr. Osborne provides special attention to longshore or shipyard operations injuries or civilian contractors injured in the U.S. bases. He represents people who have been injured on the job or have contracted an occupational disease and are seeking benefits under their employers’ workers’ compensation insurance coverage. He works with them from the outset, helping to ensure that all the procedural steps are completed before filing a case and also fights for their claim in the court if the situation demands it. 

Exhibiting earnest dedication toward his profession, Mr. Osborne’s compassion and empathy toward the victims of personal injury or violation of workplace rights come through in his actions and interactions within and outside of the legal landscape. Communicating directly with his clients, he tries to understand their problems in depth and provide unique solutions that resolve their problems with minimum expenditure of time and resources on their part. 

With an experience of over four decades, Mr. Osborne has built strong connections in the legal community. He established Richard W. Osborne, P.A., on a solid foundation of professional knowledge and experience built through years of toiling as an associate at various firms across the state. He is elected as the president of the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association.

Obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in 1978 from The University of Virginia, Mr. Osborne completed his doctorate in jurisprudence from the Stetson University College of Law.
