A native of Tampa, Mr. Cappy graduated from Florida State University in 1997 and obtained his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law in 2000, where he received the Book Award in Constitutional Law II for his outstanding academic contributions. The Florida Bar admitted him to practice the following year, and Mr. Cappy served as an assistant state attorney with the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office for several years before entering private practice.

Throughout his career, he has maintained active involvement with several professional legal organizations, including the National Association of Consumer Advocates, the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives, the Florida Justice Association, the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association and the Hillsborough County Bar Association, among others. He has also written extensively, and conducted lectures and seminars across his region on a variety of legal topics related to his practice areas.
