Ryan Maxey

Ryan Maxey is a business litigation attorney at Morgan & Morgan in Tampa, Florida. Mr. Maxey litigates business and class action lawsuits, serving clients throughout the Tampa area. He has over a decade of legal experience and provides committed and thorough legal representation to his clients, with the aim of helping them achieve the best possible resolution for their situation.

Mr. Maxey received bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and computer science from the University of South Florida. Before embarking on his legal career, he worked for an industrial manufacturing and distribution company and designed software code. 

After deciding to pursue a career in the legal field, Mr. Maxey attended the University of Florida Levin College of Law and earned a law degree, graduating with honors. While attending law school, he was a member of the honors organization the Order of the Coif. 

Upon graduating law school, Mr. Maxey passed the Florida bar examination. He holds a license to practice law before all Florida state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Earlier in his legal career, Mr. Maxey spent four years practicing at a private law firm before joining Morgan & Morgan in 2017. He founded his own law practice in 2017 and spent three years developing his knowledge and experience as a solo practitioner before returning to Morgan & Morgan in 2020.

As part of his current law practice, Mr. Maxey handles a wide variety of complex legal matters. He has experience with cases involving business tort litigation, commercial litigation, contract litigation and shareholder derivative actions.
