Scott Distasio

The founder of Distasio Law Firm in Tampa, Florida, Scott Distasio, is a board-certified civil trial attorney serving clients in all aspects of personal injury. Completing his undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Florida, Mr. Distasio proceeded to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1990. While at law school, he was a member of the Moot Court and served as vice chancellor of the Student Honor Court. He began his legal career at a prestigious Tampa defense firm upon being admitted to The Florida Bar in 1990. There, he represented a wide range of people and businesses accused of causing personal injuries.

After defending clients for nearly a decade, Mr. Distasio transitioned from defense to representing plaintiffs with a deep passion for justice. Since opening his law firm in 2006, he has helped numerous clients obtain the compensation they deserve. He notably helped his client secure justice in a wrongful death case by proving the bar's negligent security failed to prevent a fatal fight, winning critical pain, suffering and economic damages.

An active contributor to the legal community, Mr. Distasio is a member of the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which he gained admission to by winning millions in compensation for his clients.
