Matthew Thomas

A civil trial attorney at the Vero Beach, Florida-based firm Graves Thomas Injury Law Group, Matthew Thomas has been in the legal field for over a decade. He represents clients with a range of legal matters, including catastrophic injury cases, car accidents, livestock litigation, Social Security Disability matters, corporate fraud, workers’ compensation and veteran’s affairs benefits.

An empathetic and compassionate attorney, Mr. Thomas is dedicated to defending the rights of his clients who have been victims of injuries through the reckless and careless actions of another party. He has effective communication skills and explains complicated legal topics to clients in clear language. He also keeps them well-informed at every stage of a case. 

Having studied at Florida State University for his undergraduate degree, Mr. Thomas majored in history. He decided to pursue his legal studies at the Stetson University College of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2011. He is licensed to practice in Florida and before the U.S. District Courts of Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. 

Additionally, Mr. Thomas is authorized to practice pro hac vice across the nation. He is an active member of the Florida Justice Association, The Florida Bar, the Indian River County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Florida Justice Association’s Young Lawyers Division. 

Mr. Thomas is a tenacious litigator who has established a solid reputation by consistently achieving success both within and outside of the courts. He blends the three qualities of competitiveness, creativity and preparedness to successfully navigate the legal system.
