Denise Mutamba

Founder and managing partner at MDM Legal, PLLC, in West Palm Beach, Florida, Denise Mutamba is an employment lawyer with over a decade of experience. She represents clients primarily in South Florida in matters involving discipline, wages, negotiations, arbitration, retaliation claims and discrimination. She represents landlords and tenants in housing-related matters, filing immigrant petitions and visas, drafting wills and creating trusts. 

Before beginning her career in law, Ms. Mutamba worked in the human resources department of a Fortune 500 company. This experience laid the foundation for her employment law practice by providing firsthand insight into internal corporate processes. She gained her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2014 and earned her license to practice law in Florida in the same year. She is additionally admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. 

Additionally, Ms. Mutamba has served as an assistant city attorney in the city of Riviera Beach, managing employment, labor and workers’ compensation law. She gained experience in drafting human resource policies, procedures, ordinances and resolutions. As an active member in the legal fraternity, Ms. Mutamba previously served as president of the F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. Bar Association and was an associate member of the Craig S. Barnard American Inn of Court. She has also served as a co-chair of the Palm Beach County Bar Association Committee for Diversity and Inclusion. Currently, she chairs the Employment Law CLE Committee of the Palm Beach County Bar Association and is an investigating member for the Florida Bar Grievance Committee E.
