Kevin C. Smith

Certified as a specialist in civil trial law by The Florida Bar’s Board of Legal Specialization & Education, Kevin C. Smith is a partner at Lytal, Reiter, Smith, Ivey & Fronrath. The firm’s office is located in West Palm Beach, Florida, and he provides advice and counsel to clients throughout the area and across the state. Mr. Smith attended Florida State University as an undergraduate and received a Bachelor of Science in 1987. He then pursued his legal education at what was then referred to as the University of Florida College of Law, and in 1990 he obtained his Juris Doctor.

Mr. Smith focuses his practice exclusively on personal injury and wrongful death litigation, representing people who have been harmed as the direct result of the negligence of other parties. Many of his cases have arisen out of surgical errors, birth injuries, and other types of medical malpractice, but his experience has extended to motor vehicle crashes and defective products as well. Throughout his career, Mr. Smith has successfully obtained millions of dollars in jury verdicts and negotiated settlements for his clients, and this has led to his membership in the invitation-only Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an organization that is limited to attorneys who have obtained settlements and awards of at least seven figures.

Mr. Smith has received a great deal of other recognition as well from his fellow members of the bar, including an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and being selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America. Admitted to practice before all Florida state courts since 1991, his professional memberships include the Florida Justice Association and the Palm Beach County Bar Association.
