Mr. Currier has conducted numerous lectures and seminars on a variety of legal topics, and he is an active member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association and other legal organizations. He also serves on the board of the Neighborhood Renaissance and is a member of its Real Estate Committee. He currently served as chairman of the West Palm Beach Nuisance Abatement Board, and he has served as a mentor with the Children’s Home Society as well as a member of the West Palm Beach Charter Review Committee.

  • Mongrut v. Southern Airways Express, Inc., 9:22-cv-80678 -- Former employee of an airline sued alleging a violation of the FLSA.  I secured a summary judgment in favor of the airline.  The case law affirms that all employees of airlines are exempt from overtime.  The opinion eliminated the argument that an exception applied to some employees based upon the job duties of the employee., 2023
  • Mongrut v. Southern Airways Express, Inc., 9:22-cv-80678 -- Secured the destruction of all confidential records and verification of same after the case was dismissed and Plaintiff and her counsel refused to destroy of such records and verify by way of a Declaration that they had in fact destroyed the records., 2023

Hinterland, Case No.: 2021 CA 011218 -- Secured dismissal of my client from a lawsuit where an individual alleged negligent construction caused her to fall and suffer injuries.  I utilized the scope of the construction contract along with the protections that apply to contractors once the work is completed and has been accepted by the property owner to secure the dismissal., 2023

IndiheartandMind, Inc., 21-cv-80800 -- Obtained a final judgment against an employer that refused to pay employees wages in accordance with the FLSA.  After the employees quit, they posted online messages that the employer failed to pay wages and the employer retaliated by stating that it would not pay unless the messages were removed.  As it turns out, he owed much more than the final paycheck and now he is paying every month for the next 24 months., 2022

DM Ventures USA LLC, Case No.: 15-cv-81685 -- Insurer refused to provide coverage when the client was sued for the use of intellectual property that promoters (third party independent contractors) had taken from the Internet and used to promote the client's business. The insurer filed a Motion for Summary Judgment.  The Court denied the Motion adopting all the arguments advanced by myself on behalf of my client.  The Insurer agreed to provide complete coverage and pay all attorney's fees so long as the client agreed to dismiss the dec action to establish coverage under the particular provision., 2016
  • Guillaume v. NY Bagel Boy, Inc., 14-80802 -- Employer deliberately violated the FLSA in refusing to pay employee wages.  Employer ignored demand letters and I was able to secure a settlement prior to the entry of the Motion for Summary Judgment.  It resulted in all back pay, liquidated damages and attorney's fees.  Then the employer refused to pay so we had to freeze its bank accounts.  The employer paid in full., 2015

Town of Davie, Case No.: 08-cv-60775 -- Secured a settlement on behalf of a police officer where he spent 7 years trying to be reinstated after unfair targeting by the police chief.  When he was referred to me, we proceeded with a FMLA claim and the case was resolved in 9 months, the client received 100% of his back pay, attorney's fees, reinstatement and all his back benefits.  He served out the rest of his career before retiring with no further incidents from the Town., 2009
