Scott N. Richardson

Scott N. Richardson is an attorney and the sole practitioner at the Law Office of Scott N. Richardson, P.A., located in West Palm Beach, Florida. With over 44 years in the field of law, he focuses his practice on criminal defense matters, including DUI, assault and battery, domestic violence, homicide, theft, probation violation and drug offenses. 

Having handled many high-profile cases in the country, Mr. Richardson has gained a reputation for the efficient representation he provides. Persistent and dedicated, he fights for the rights and freedoms of those who have been accused of wrongdoing. Using his extensive experience and skills for the benefit of his clients, he forms strategies that are customized for each client’s unique case. 

With a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, Mr. Richardson graduated with honors from the University of Florida. He went on to study law at the University of Florida – Fredric G. Levin College of Law, receiving his doctorate in jurisprudence in 1978. He is authorized to practice law in Florida and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. 

Board-certified by The Florida Bar in 1996, Mr. Richardson is certified as a specialist in criminal law. He is an active member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, the Palm Beach Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is a fellow at the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Additionally, recognized for his notable legal work, Mr. Richardson is selected for inclusion in The National Trial Lawyers’ Top 100 Criminal Defense Lawyers list. He has also received an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating through Martindale-Hubbell. Best Lawyers named him to the list of Lawyer of the Year in Criminal Defense – White Collar West Palm Beach for 2019, and he was listed on The Best Lawyers in America.
